Troops under the Security Forces Headquarters - Mullaitivu bid farewell to Major General M.K Jayawardena RSP VSV USP ndu, outgoing Commander, Security Forces - Mullaitivu on 28 December 2023. He served as the 18th Commander of the Security Forces - Mullaitivu. The farewell was conducted with customary military formalities.

Major General M.K Jayawardena RSP VSV USP ndu addressed troops and expressed his appreciation for all those who dedicated themselves to successfully and effectively performing their duties during his tenure. Senior Officers, Officers, and Other Ranks participated in the farewell ceremony.
