Explosives, Smoke Bombs &; Detonators Emerge in Colombo

COLOMBO: FOLLOWING INFORMATION received from vigilant civilians, Army troops on foot patrol in the general area of LAKE HOUSE roundabout in COLOMBO found an unattended bag containing explosives and other accessories from the inside of a shop this morning (3) around 9.30 a.m.

The recovered items consisted of one-hundred and twenty- five (125g) of explosives, five smoke bombs, one mobile charger, 15 ft of flexible wire, 2 ft of safety wire, one non electrical detonator, eight ration packets and one Air Force camouflage uniform.
