Representing the Sri Lanka Army, ten Officers and twenty-six Other Ranks on 10 August 2023 left for Malaysia in order to participate in the Field Training Exercise - Krish Aman II 2023.
Around, 887 military participants from 21 different countries take part in the Field Training Exercise which has been mainly designed to train peacekeepers on Peacekeeping Operations (PKO).
Exercise ‘Krish Aman II 202’3 is a joint collaboration between the Armed Forces of Malaysia (AFM) and the United Nations Indo-Pacific Command (USINDOPACOM) under the Global Peace Operations Initiative Programme (GPOI) of the United States, which is scheduled to be conducted from 12 – 26 August 2023 in the Port Dickson area, Negeri Sembilan in Malaysia.
The Exercise has been organized with the purpose of training military members of various countries to sharpen their skills to join the United Nations missions around the world and also to enhance multi-national operations and cooperation with all regional and international countries.
