Ex-Servicemen in UK Contribute to National Efforts for Fight against COVID-19

Sri Lanka Ex-Service Persons’ (Armed Forces) Association in the United Kingdom, concerned about national efforts, aimed at containing the spread of COVID-19 virus in Sri Lanka, recently made a substantial financial donation of £1120 (LKR 258,240.25) towards the ‘COVID 19 Healthcare and Social Security Fund’ of the Presidential Secretariat through the Sri Lanka High Commission in London.

President Lieutenant Commander (retd) Kapila De Alwis and Vice President (retd) Major Selvanayagam Sathananthan on behalf of the membership presented the donation to Her Excellency Mrs Saroja Sirisena, Sri Lankan High Commissioner to the United Kingdom at the Sri Lanka High Commission in London, to be sent to Sri Lanka.
