Entrepreneurs Pledge Support to 'Abimansala' Project on Disable War Heroes

A TEAM of business entrepreneurs, who are highly concerned about the well-being of our dependent and permanently disable War Heroes, offered their gesture of goodwill towards the construction of the proposed ‘Abimansala’ (Wellness Resort) at Anuradhapura after they met the Commander of the Army Lieutenant General Jagath Jayasuriya. 

Commander of the Army Lieutenant General Jagath Jayasuriya, the brainchild behind construction of the unique, ‘Abimansala’ resort, meant for rest and recreation of disable War Heroes, received a combined monetary donation of Rs 2 million from Messrs Nihal Jayatillake, Rohan Fernando, Tissa Jayawardene, Priyantha, Punsiri and the famous, Pinwatta Gems Pvt. Ltd.

Those philanthropists, impressed with the ‘Brave Hearts’ project and its intended noble objective, launched with the support of the Seva Vanitha Army Branch (SVAB), chaired by Mrs Manjulika Jayasuriya, exchanged views with the Commander of the Army on the proposed project and other welfare measures when they called on Tuesday (6) morning at Army Headquarters to make this exemplary donation to the project.

Lieutenant General Jayasuriya, appreciating considerateness of those donors, assured them of the speedy completion of the ‘Abimansala’ project at Anuradhapura as early as possible. He also thanked all of them for the gesture on behalf of the Army.
