Engineers Get Ready for Undertaking Multifaceted Construction Projects

On the guidelines given by Major General Nihal Amarasekara, the Chief Field Engineer of the Sri Lanka Army and Colonel Commandant of the Corps of Engineers, a workshop on 'Construction Project Management' was held at the Lecture hall at Mattegoda during19-23 April.

The aim of this workshop was to enhance the knowledge and professionalism of Sapper Officers on the subject in the wake of the Corps of Engineers receiving more and more Army constructions, Nation-Building projects and other national and regional tasks.

The workshop provides required theoretical knowledge to Officers involved in Military and Non-Military projects. This programme has been carefully designed by a team of well experienced resource personnel from NEXTEC Engineering Private Limited, headed by Mr. Prasad Perera.

Lectures at this workshop were delivered by a panel of eminent resource personnel with vast experience and knowledge to add value to the programme. The lecture panel consisted of a blend of academia and industry experts from the University of Peradeniya and University of Moratuwa.

The Workshop was conducted in conformity with health regulations and guidelines on prevention of COVID – 19.
