Major General Jagath Gunawardena, Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Engineers and the Army’s Chief of Staff made courtesy visits to the Chief Field Engineers HQ at Mattegoda and its under command Brigade Headquarters on Tuesday (8).
Formal Guard Turnouts, presented by troops at 8, 9, 10 and 11 Field Engineer Regiments and the Engineers Brigade during the visits honoured him on arrival.
During his stay at the newly-raised Engineers Brigade HQ, he was invited by Major General Chandana Wijesundara, General Officer Commanding, Engineers Brigade to open the newly-built Dogs’ operation theatre and new accommodation facilities for sniffing dogs and trainee ones.
Afterwards, the Chief of Staff laid the foundation stone for the proposed sports complex inside the Brigade HQ premises. During refreshments, he shared a couple of pleasantries with Senior Officers of the Sri Lanka Engineers, Brigade commanders, Commanding Officers and Other Ranks who were associated with the day’s proceedings.Best jordan Sneakers | Nike
