East Troops with Sponsor Support Build New House for a Needy Family

The Security Force Headquarters-East troops showing their concern for human welfare erected a new house for a needy family in Ampara area with sponsorship provided by philanthropists in the Ampara area. The new house was vested in the beneficiary on 07 April 2024 during a brief ceremony.

Major R.P De Zoysa, the Commanding Officer of 16th Battalion of the Sri Lanka National Guard (SLNG) took the initiative to complete this house using technical skills and manpower assistance of troops of 16 SLNG for the construction work.

During the warming ceremony, the house keys were symbolically handed over to the beneficiary by the Major General M.K.U.P Gunarathne RSP ndu psc IG, the Commander, Security Forces – East.

At the same occasion, the beneficiary was donated dry ration items. Senior Officers, Officers, Government Officials and Other Ranks were among participants in the warming ceremony.
