Troops of the 23 Infantry Division under command to the Security Force Headquarters -East after all repairs and renovations were done to the Bodirukkarama Viharaya in 4 Canal (Hatara Ela) area put up the name board of the temple and vested it in the incumbent of the Bodirukkarama Viharaya on 25 August.
Brigadier K.V.N.P Premaratne RSP USP psc, General Officer Commanding, 23 Infantry Division was there to formally inform the completion of the temple needs.
Guidelines of Major General M.K.U.P Gunaratne RSP ndu psc IG, Commander, Security Forces -East and the supervision of Brigadier K.V.N.P Premaratne RSP USP psc, General Officer Commanding of 23 Infantry Division enabled the troops of 7 Sri Lanka Artillery together with Garrison Engineers - Welikanda to complete the task.
It was the former Commander, Security Forces - East, Major General S.R.K Hettiarachchi RWP RSP VSV USP ndu psc, who laid the foundation stone for the construction of 'Sadaham Mandiraya' and the Tunnel Cave Museum at Sri Bodirukkarama Viharaya on 09 March 2023.
Senior Officers, Officers, Other Ranks and devotees of the area participated in the inauguration ceremony.
