East Commander Familiarizes with Formations in the SFHQ-E

Commander, Security Forces - East (SF-E), Major General Darshana Hettiarrachchi recently made his first formal visit to the Forward Maintenance Area - East (FMA-E), 3 Engineer Service Regiment (ESR) Headquarters, Minneriya and 5 Sri Lanka Army Medical Corps (SLAMC) Headquarters at Habarana.

On arrival at the FMA-E premises, the Commander, FMA-E, Major General M. Mudannayaka welcomed the SF-E Commander. The visiting Commander received a Guard Turnout in accordance with military formalities at the FMA-E Headquarters.

A mango tree sapling was also planted to mark his visit to the place.

During his stay, the Commander, SF-E addressed the troops who are serving the FMA-E and stressed the importance of commitment and dedication.

Thereafter, the Commander, SF-E visited the 3 ESR Headquarters where the Commanding Officer, 3 ESR warmly welcomed the visiting Commander. He took part in an all rank lunch during his stay there and shared views.

As the final leg of the tour, the Commander, SF-E visited the 5 SLAMC Headquarters at Habarana. During the visit, the Commander shared tea with all ranks.
