Major General Aruna Jayasekera, Commander, Security Forces - East (SF-E) attended a ceremony to welcome Prof. F.C Ragel, the newly-appointed Vice Chancellor of the Eastern University, Batticaloa on Saturday (26).
Organized by the Batticaloa Civil Society, the event got underway at the Cooperative Society Building in the presence of a gathering of religious dignitaries of all major faiths, including the Bishop of Batticaloa.
