Dubai Based Sri Lankans Offer Equipment to Military Hospital

A COLLECTIVE effort made by a group of Sri Lankans living in Dubai donated a stock of medical equipment and sanitary facilities to Colombo Military hospital for the use of Army personnel became disable and still receiving treatment. 

Using funds collected by Mr. A.L. Christofelz with assistance of his Sri Lankan friends in Dubai, Lions’ Club in Polgasowita took the initiative to purchase and donate twenty bed-side saline stands (IV stands) with hooks, mercury-type blood pressure analyzers with stethoscope, three nebulizers, ten wheelchair commodes and twenty crutches to the hospital during a recent function held at the hospital premises.

Officials of the Polgasowita Lions’ Club and the Military hospital were present on the occasion. Medical authorities at the hospital received the donation on behalf of the Army.
