DSCSC Student Officers Plant Saplings on account of Independence

All student officers in Sapugaskanda-based Defence Services Command and Staff College (DSCSC) on account of the 70th Independence Day joined a tree planting campaign in the college premises on Monday (5).

The event, themed on ‘Green Environment & Sustainable Development’ got underway in the DSCSC surroundings, to be in parallel with the ongoing ‘Wana Ropa’ project of the Presidential Secretariat.

All participants during the day planted more than 2000 saplings of fruits, herbal and economic value in the DSCSC premises with the patronage extended by the HNB Bank.

Major General Ruwan Kulatunga, Commandant, DSCSC, faculty members, permanent staff, and tri service student officers, including foreign students participated in the arrangement.
