64 Division HQ under command to the Security Force Headquarters – Mullaittivu with sponsorship received from ‘Guna Jaya Sathuta Padanama’ donated 50 dry ration packs among pregnant women in Oddusuddan area on Friday (9).
Major General Sisira Pilapitiya, Commander SF-MLT, together with senior officers distributed those relief packs after visiting their doorsteps on information provided by respective Grama Seva officials.
The event was coordinated by the General Officer Commanding 64 Division, Brigadier Upul Weerakoon and officers of the 64 Division.
The project was done on the directions of the Commander SF-MLT, Major General Sisira Pilapitiya on being aware of the difficulties faced by civilians during the prevailing Covid - 19 pandemic in the country.
Mr. Sanjeewa Malalasekara from ‘Guna Jaya Sathuta Padanama’ took part in the distribution programme on behalf of the sponsors.
