Dry Ration Packs Given as X’mas Gifts

17 (V) Gajaba Regiment troops of the 642 Brigade under the 64 Division of the Security Force Headquarters - Mullaittivu on account of the Christmas season, organized a donation of dry ration packs among deserving families and carried out a Shramadana project in order to clean the Palampasi Methodist Church compound, prior to the Christmas day service on Christmas day (25).

Each dry ration pack, worth about Rs 2500/= was given to 10 families in the area, in addition to the distribution of gift parcels among children in the area by Santa Claus around the same time on Christmas day.

The project was launched on the guidelines given by Colonel Madanka Alwis, 642 Brigade Commander and the Commanding Officer, 17 (V) Gajaba Regiment troops.
