Doing Community Service, 572 Brigade Marks its 16th Birthday

The 572 Infantry Brigade HQ, located at Visuvamadu, Mullaitivu celebrated its 16th anniversary under the guidance of Colonel Thushan Wimalasena, Commander, 572 Infantry Brigade during 27-28 February.

Prior to the anniversary day, troops cleaned the 'Namasivaya' Elders’ Home compound at Dharmapuram on Sunday (26) as a civil community-oriented project and offered a delicious lunch to those adults, the next day (27).

On the anniversary day (28), the Commander, 572 Infantry Brigade was warmly welcomed and greeted with a Guard Turnout by the troops. Subsequently, the Brigade Commander planted a Mango sapling inside the camp as a symbol of memory and was invited to sit for a group photograph with the Staff Officers and Other Ranks in the Brigade.

Later, the Brigade Commander addressed the troops and attended an All-Rank lunch concluding the day’s agenda.
