Under the guidance of the Commander of the 582 Infantry Brigade, Brigadier M.L.D.S Molligoda USP psc, troops of the 9 Gemunu Watch (9 GW) attended a disaster rescue operation in Millaniya, Horana.
During the operation, 9 GW troops provided assistance to displaced people living in the Millaniya area. The troops distributed dry rations to affected individuals, utilising a boat.
