Directorate of Overseas Operations Launches its Official Website

The Directorate of Overseas Operations (DOO) of the Army launched its official website (http://alt.army.lk/doo/) on Thursday (15) during a simple ceremony at the Commander's Secretariat Mini Conference Hall, Army HQ Sri Jayawardenapura.

Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage, Commander of the Army logged on to the new website in the presence of a gathering, including Major General SUMN Manage WWV RWP RSP psc, Director General General Staff, Major General RADS Shantha Ranaweera RWP RSP USP psc, Director, Directorate of Overseas Operations and Overall Security Coordinator of the Army Headquarters together with several other officers.

The new website, carrying details on the history, organisation, training, future prospects of the United Nations peacekeeping missions is the latest addition to the websites in the organisation.
