Director General Overseas Operations Visits IPSOTSL

Major General P.P.A Perera Hdmc psc, Director General, Directorate of Overseas Operations undertook a familiarization visit to the Institute of Peace Support Operations Training Sri Lanka (IPSOTSL) in Kukuleganga on Monday (24 April) to receive updates on its training capsules and the well-being of the troops at the invitation of Brigadier C.A Rajapaksha RSP, Commandant, IPSOTSL.

The senior officer was saluted with a Guard Turnout by the troops on arrival at the main entrance and was warmly welcomed by the Commandant, IPSOTSL. Afterwards, the Director General was invited to plant a sapling in the compound to symbolize the visit before he started to inspect the premises. Meanwhile, the distinguished chief guest conducted the opening address for troops participating in South Sudan Level II Hospital Component Pre-deployment Training Course (UNMISS) Stage – 10, which commenced on the same day.

Before leaving the IPSOTSL, Major General P.P.A Perera Hdmc psc posed for a group photograph with senior officers and the troops as symbols of memory.
