Mr. Ranjith Pandithage, Chairman & Managing Director of Diesel and Motor Engineering PLC (DIMO), who met Lieutenant General Daya Ratnayake at his office, Army Headquarters, this evening (30), presented a cheque value of Rs 8 million, towards upcoming ‘Abimansala III’ project at Pangolla, Kurunegala.
Diesel and Motor Engineering PLC, since inauguration of ‘Abimansala’ (wellness resort) project for the benefit of dependent War Heroes of the Army has been at the forefront of giving its generous support by way of sponsoring villas, cottages etc in both Anuradhapura and Kamburupitiya wellness resorts. In previous instances the same company has donated Rs 2.8 million for the same.
Commander of the Army appreciating their thoughtfulness and concern about the noble objective of the project thanked the company and its board of directors for the gesture.
Mr Janaka Rodrigo, General Manager DIMO, Mr Vijith Pushpawela, Operational Manager, DIMO were also associated with the occasion.
