In response to a request, Diesel and Motor Engineering Lanka PLC (DIMO Lanka), largely responsible for repairs of all TATA vehicles facilitated a two-day training programme for 20 Officers of the Sri Lanka Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (SLEME) during 15-16 December at DIMO Workshop Complex - Siyambalape.
The programme was initiated on a suggestion, made by Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage, Commander of the Army in close coordination with Major General Ranjan Jayasekara, Director General Electrical and Mechanical Engineering (DEME) with the support of DEME Officers.
The training programme included practical sessions and visits to the workshop in order to receive an initial knowledge on workshop management and maintenance of TATA vehicles.
