The newly inducted, LED bulb project, launched by Ranaviru Resources Centre, Hekitta, Wattala, handed over its first consignment of LED bulbs to Major General A. M. Perera, Director General, Rehabilitation and Brigadier S.K.G.N.B. Ehalamalpe, Director Welfare on Tuesday (11).
Those new LED bulb stocks of 3W, 5W and 7W are now available at Army Welfare Shops.
LED bulb production project was first launched on 23 January under the guidance of Brigadier W.H.M. Manatunge, Commandant, Ranaviru Resources Centre, following an initiative taken by Major General A.M. Perera, Director General, Rehabilitation on the instructions of the Commander of the Army.
Disable War Heroes enthusiastically contribute to this project and assemble those LED bulbs with the objective of saving electricity and its cost for consumers.
