A gathering of 60 Officers representing tri-services, Police and the Civil Security Department recently attended a programme, titled ‘Military Dialogues 2018’organized by the Secretariat for Coordinating Reconciliation Mechanisms (SCRM) in collaboration with the Ministry of Defence and the Ministry of Law and Order in Jaffna.
The programme discussed matters and responsibilities, pertaining to the roles of the Military and the Police for maintenance of peace and the reconciliation process. The two-day (11-12 July) arrangement took place at Thalsevana Holiday resort in Jaffna. The fourth session in the 1st phase of the programme was organized by the Security Force Headquarters – Jaffna.
