Rear Admiral Anura Ekanayake, Director General of Sri Lanka Coast Guard (DG-SLCG) paid a courtesy call on Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage, Commander of the Army on Thursday (23) at the Commander’s office at the Army Headquarters.
During this discussion, the DG-SLCG extended compliments and best wishes on the appointment of the Commander of the Army and briefed him on the role and tasks of the Coastal Guards as well as planned future projects, etc. Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage in turn praised the measures being adopted by the coastal conservation department and assured them of all the support for them to carry out their legitimate duties.
Towards the culmination of the cordial interaction, Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage and Rear Admiral Anura Ekanayake exchanged mementos of goodwill and memory.
