Major General M.T.K.R. Silva KSP, the Deputy Commandant of Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force (SLAVF) paid a courtesy visit to the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force Training School (SLAVFTS) on 28 of February 2024.
The Deputy Commandant was warmly welcomed by Colonel J.A.G. Jayarathne KSP, the Commandant SLAVFTS on his arrival to the Training School. Subsequently, he was accorded a Guard Turnout at the entrance.
The Commandant of SLAVFTS delivered a comprehensive briefing to the Deputy Commandant on the prevailing academic and non-academic functions of the facility.
Afterwards, he joined the certification awarding ceremony of National Vocational Qualification for the designated accomplishers of the Administrative Assistant Course. During the event, the Senior Officer addressed the gathering.
Prior to his departure, the Deputy Commandant conducted a camp visit, interacted with the troops during and All Ranks tea and penned down some complimentary remarks in the visitor’s book.
Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks were also present during the day’s event.
