Major General M.T.K.R. Silva KSP, the Deputy Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force (SLAVF) made an official visit to the 2 and 3 (V) Gemunu Watch (GW) on 05 April 2024.
The Commanding Officers of 2 and 3 (V) GW together with troops warmly welcomed the visiting Deputy Commandant of the SLAVF to the respective Battalion premises and greeted him in a Guard Turnout at the entrance.
Afterwards, the Deputy Commandant addressed the troops of both 2 (V) GW and 3 (V) GW at the conference hall and expressed the development measures that had taken to develop the battalions. Further, the Deputy Commandant of the SLAVF highlighted the importance working as a collective team towards the progress of the units. The Deputy Commandant also thanked to all troops for their commitment and loyalty in placing the Battalions in higher standards.
Before the culmination of the official visit, the Deputy Commandant of SLAVF planted a sapling in the camp premises and placed a complimentary note of appreciation in the Visitors Book.
Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks were also present during the visit.
