Major General M.T.K.R. Silva KSP, the Deputy Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force (SLAVF), visited the 19 Sri Lanka National Guard, 3 (V) Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment and the 2 (V) Sri Lanka Rifle Corps on 06 - 07 March 2024 with the intention of inquiring about the wellbeing of the troops.
Upon arrival, respective Commanding Officers of each Battalion warmly welcomed the arriving Senior Officer and troops saluted him in Guard Turnouts.
The Deputy Commandant of SLAVF addressed the troops, planted saplings, and conducted camp visits at each location. Moreover, he posed for group photographs with the troops. Special mementos were presented to the Senior Officer, and he left complimentary remarks in the Visitors’ books at each Battalion.
Senior Officers, Officers, and Other Ranks were present during those visits.
