Defence Services Hockey Tournament Held in Matale

7th Defence Services Hockey Tournament, held at Matale Nandimithra Ekanayake International Hockey Ground during the weekend (July 21 - 22) culminated, creating new hopes for the defence services.

In the finals, the Air Force Hockey team had a thin victory over its rivals, Army Hockey players with 3 - 2 goals although the Army comfortably won in the semi-finals against Navy and Air Force teams.

Woman Hockey players from Navy and Air Force for the first time took part in the Defence Services Hockey Tournament.

The tournament was organized by the Army Hockey Committee.
