Death Toll Rises to 156 -NOCPCO

As of this morning (13), a total of 3,039 more persons were confirmed positive to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. Among them, 46 were Sri Lankan expatriates. The rest 2,993 were locally-identified positive cases, including the majority 591 from Gampaha District, 455 from Colombo District, 437 from Kalutara District and 1,510 others from different Districts, states the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO).

By this morning (13), a total of 345,117 persons have been confirmed positive to COVID-19 from all over the country, including the dead. Among them, 233,729 were reported after the New Year.

By Friday (13) morning (past 24 hours), 2,049 recovered patients have left Intermediate Care Centers and Hospitals. On 11 August, 156 more deaths have been reported including 87 males and 69 females.

As of Friday (13), 4,686 persons in 62 hotels and tri service-managed QCs are still in quarantine. 1,246 persons have left 32 QCs on Friday (13) morning after completion of their quarantining process.
