Death Toll Now Stands at 323-NOCPCO

As of this morning (2), a total of 826 more persons were confirmed positive to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. Among them 10 are Sri Lankan expatriates and others are locally-identified ones, including the majority 212 from Colombo district, 132 from Gampaha district, 131 from Kandy district and other 341 from different districts, states the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO).

By this morning (2), a total of 64,982 persons, inclusive of 60,995 of the fish market and Brandix have been confirmed positive to COVID-19 from all over the country, including the dead. 58,074 fully-recovered COVID-19 patients have been so far discharged from hospitals and the rest 6,585 are still under treatment in hospitals and care centres.

In the past 24 hours, 916 recovered patients have left hospitals and care centres. 07 more deaths have been reported from Polonnaruwa, Wattala, Colombo 2, Udugampola, Nugegoda, Medawala and Gelioya areas in the past 24 hours. Accordingly, the COVID-19 death toll in the country rose to 323 by this morning (2).
