CPOC Course No. 02 Successfully Concluded at IPSOTSL

The United Nations Comprehensive Protection of Civilians (CPOC) Course No. 02, sponsored by the Global Peace Operations Initiative (GPOI), successfully concluded on 04 October 2024 at the Institute of Peace Support Operations Training Sri Lanka (IPSOTSL).

The course, held from 30 September to 04 October, with the participation of 23 Officers from the Sri Lanka Army, 1 from the Navy, 2 from the Air Force and 5 foreign Officers from Bangladesh, Mongolia and Nepal.

A panel of four Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), led by Mr. Roger David Hughes from the United Kingdom, facilitated the training. Brigadier S.A. Hettige RSP psc, Commandant of IPSOTSL, graced the event as the Chief Guest and presented certificates to the participants during the closing ceremony. Senior Officers, Officers and instructors from IPSOTSL were also present.
