Course on Photography & Video Technology Begins for Non Commissioned Officers

One more professional course, meant for 33 potential Army photographers and videographers, organized by the Directorate of Media of the Army began this morning (10) at the Army Camp in Kelaniya after a brief ceremony. 

The one-month long course focused on ‘Still Photography and Video Technology’ was inaugurated by Brigadier Jayanath Jayaweera, Director Media, making an inaugural speech to the occasion, in which he underlined the importance of gaining this professional knowledge. 

National Youth Council of Sri Lanka has offered its professional contribution to the success of the Course by conducting a separate 5 day-long workshop with the participation of experts in the sphere.  

Drawn from all the Regiments, those attendees would participate in many practical outdoor activities and visit a few places of interest during their stay with the Course.

Mr. Sisira Wijesinghe, Media Advisor to the Sri Lanka Army conducted the introductory lecture to the attendees at the inaugural session. 

Colonel Manoj Lamahewa, Colonel Media at Directorate of Media, Lieutenant Colonel Duminda Fernando, Staff Officer I and the Course Coordinator Major Isuru Senanayake witnessed the  opening ceremony.
