Major General C.D Weerasuriya RWP RSP ndu, Chief of Staff (COS) of the Army and Colonel of the Regiment Sri Lanka Light Infantry (SLLI) paid a courtesy visit to the SLLI Headquarter Battalion, located in Boossa on Friday (May 26) with the intention of inquiring about the well-being of the troops and future developments in the Battalion.
The Senior Officer on arrival was warmly welcomed by Lieutenant Colonel S.N Samaranayake, Commanding Officer of the SLLI Headquarter Battalion. Adding memories to the day, the COS was invited to plant a sapling in the premises before he addressed the troops and provided necessary guidelines for their future projects.
Prior to his departure, he left some complimentary remarks in the visitors’ book. Colonel M.P.S.P Kulasekara WWV RWP RSP, Centre Commandant of SLLI Regimental Centre, Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks took part in the event.
