The foundation stone-laying ceremony to construct the new ‘Miridiya Pawana’ Holiday Bungalow for Officers and Other Ranks took place at Minneriya on 26 June.
Major General D.A.P.N Dematanpitiya, Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Signal Corps and the Commandant of Defence Services Command and Staff College attended the event as the Chief Guest and laid the first cornerstone.
Further, prior to the stone-laying ceremony, Colonel Commandant made offerings to the Minneriya Devalaya on the tank bund and received blessings. He was welcomed by the Commanding Officer of 2 (V) SLSC Lieutenant Colonel A.A.T Somarathne on arrival at the camp premises.
