Under the guidance of the General Officer Commanding, 61 Infantry Division, the troops of the 61 Infantry Division, Engineer Services Regiment, and 2(V) Gemunu Watch successfully completed the construction of a new house for a deserving family residing in Poddala, Galle.
The house warming ceremony took place on 20 March 2024 and the Deputy General Officer Commanding of 61 Infantry Division, Brigadier W.M.L.S Dayawansa, graced the occasion as the chief guest. During the event, two coconut trees were planted by the Deputy General Officer Commanding and the Divisional Secretary of Bope Poddala Divisional Secretariat to mark the occasion.
The Officer In-Charge of Poddala Police Station, Senior Officers, Officers, and residents in the area participated in the occasion.
