A simple foundation-stone laying ceremony for proposed residential quarters of monks at Kanagarayankulam Sri Sambuddha Raja Maha Vihara got underway on Monday (07) in keeping with strict health guidelines.
The Chief incumbent of Kanagarayankulam Sri Sambuddha Raja Maha Viharaya and Northern province Upa Pradhana Sanganayaka Saddarma Keerthi Sri Sumana Mangla Siddartha Venerable Etambagaskada Sri Kalyana Thissa Thero, Commander Security Forces - Wanni, Major General Hemantha Bandara, General Officer Commanding 56 Division, Major General Nandana Dunuwila, Commander 561 Brigade, Brigadier Priyantha Rathnayake, Divisional Secretary and Assistant Divisional Secretary of Vavuniya North Mr I Prathapan, Mr K Anandan, Officers and other rankers under the 561 Brigade participated in the simple event.
