Community Welfare Programme Conducts by the 242 Infantry Brigade

Trrops of the 242 Infantry Brigade conducted a community welfare programme as part of their civil affairs activities.

On 08th May 2025, the troops of the 242 Infantry Brigade organized a beach cleaning programme at Arugambay Beach, a very important and famous tourist destination.

Under the guidance of the Commander Security Forces (East), Major General P. R. Pathiravithana, USAWC, psc and the close supervision of the General Officer Commanding the 22 Infantry Division the event was successfully concluded.

To ensure the success of this welfare initiative, the General Officer Commanding the 24 Infantry Division, along with Senior Officers, Officers, and Other Ranks of the 242 Infantry Brigade, actively participated in the event.
