The 58 Infantry Division marked its 15th Anniversary on 03 January 2024 with a series of events organized on the directions of Major General H.D.W.K.N Eriyagama RWP RSP, the General Officer Commanding of the 58 Infantry Division.
Prior to the anniversary day, troops of the 58 Infantry Division offered a special lunch treat for elders at ‘Nirmala Matha elders home’ at Eluwankulama on 31 December 2023 and cleaned up the compound. Additionally, a 'Bodhi Puja Pinkama' took place invoking blessings on the Division, the Army, and all the troops. Furthermore, the 58 Infantry Division organized friendly cricket, football, and volleyball tournaments between under-command Brigades and Battalions.
On the anniversary day, following military traditions, the General Officer Commanding, 58 Infantry Division was honored in a Guard Turnout and a Guard of Honour, presented by 1 GW troops.
Coinciding with the anniversary day, the General Officer Commanding, Brigade Commanders, Commanding Officers, and all Officers and Other Ranks attended an All Ranks lunch, bringing the commemorative anniversary events to a climax.
