7 Sri Lanka Signal Corps (7 SLSC) celebrated its 16th Anniversary amidst religious observances and military formalities on Thursday (08 Feb) under the guidance of Major M.A.S.S. Muthugoda USP psc, Commanding Officer of 7 SLSC.
Preceding the anniversary, troops engaged in inter-squadron cricket and volleyball tournaments from 27 to 28 January 2024. Troops also conducted an almsgiving at Kumbalwela Mahamewna Meditation Hermitage on 02 February 2024, followed by a Bodhi Pooja Ceremony and Dhamma Oration Ceremony, along with an almsgiving to Members of Maha Sangha on 04 February 2024.
On the anniversary day, Commanding Officer was accorded a Guard Turnout at the Main Entrance. This was followed by a ceremonial parade and an All Ranks lunch. Afterwards, 24 Other Ranks and 13 civil servants were awarded certificates in appreciation of their service. All Ranks get-together commenced the following day, with the participation of Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks.
