Ven. Balangoda Radha Thero, Chief Incumbent, Belihuloya 'Seela Samahitha Yogashramaya' carrying his message of Dhamma to the North as part of a spiritual project, proposed by the Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage RWP RSP ndu preached Dhamma to more than 100 Officers and Other Ranks serving the Security Force Headquarters - Mullaittivu (SFHQ-MLT) and its under command troops on 25 April.
The Dhamma preaching series was jointly organized by the Directorate of Personnel Administration and the Army Buddhist Association on the guidelines given by the Army Chief with the objective of promoting moral development and spiritual understanding among the troops.
The monk's oration covered the importance of mindfulness, mental health, moral conduct and well-being, etc. All necessary arrangements to this effect were made by the SFHQ-MLT troops under the guidance of Major General U.D Wijesekera RWP RSP USP rcds psc, Commander, Security Forces-MLT.
