Headquarters of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force (SLAVF) organized a musical evening, performed by Clifford Richards, together with a group of renowned artists of the country at Nelum Pokuna Theatre on Sunday (7) with a view to collecting funds for welfare projects of SLAVF members.
The progrmme was graced by the Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Mahesh Senanayake as the Chief Guest, along with Mrs Chandrika Senanayake, President, Army Seva Vanitha Unit at the invitation of Major General Rukmal Dias, Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force. The day's proceedings were closely supervised and segmented by Major General L.F Kasthuriarachchi, Deputy Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force in cooperation with artists attending the entertainment.
