Commander SFHQ- West Made an Official Visit to 14 Infantry Division

Major General S.W.M Fernando WWV RWP RSP VSV USP ndc psc, the Commander Security Forces –West (SFHQ- West), made an official visit to 14 Infantry Division Headquarters and its under command Brigades and Battalions on 12 February 2024.

The visiting Commander Security Forces -West, was warmly welcomed by the General Officer commanding of 14 Infantry Division, Brigade Commanders and Commanding Officers to the SFHQ-West premises. Aftermath, General Officer Commanding briefed the visiting Commander Security Forces –West on role, tasks and the present situation of the respective areas.

Extending his visit, the Commander Security Forces – West also visited 141 Infantry Brigade, 142 Infantry Brigade, 144 Infantry Brigade, 2 (V) Sri Lanka Light Infantry and 8 Sri Lanka Light Infantry.

Addressing the troops during the visit, the Commander, SFHQ-West emphasized the importance of the discipline of the soldiers, man management, and how to perform duties in this tense situation, while keeping security of the camps a priority. Further, he appreciated the commitment of troops who rendered their potential service in the past and present scenarios.

The General Officer Commanding of 14 Infantry Division, Major General K.A.W.N.H Bandaranayake USP, Brigade Commanders, Senior Officers and Officers accompanied the SFHQ-West during the visit.
