Major General Darshana Wijesekara, Commander, Security Forces Mullaittivu (SFHQ - MLT) made a formal visit to the 68 Infantry Division on 11 January.

Afterwards, the Commander, SFHQ - MLT, and the General Officer Commanding of the 68 Infantry Division Major General Rohan Ponnamperuma made a field visit to the 68 Infantry Division HQ compound and received a comprehensive briefing on their roles and tasks in the respective areas of responsibility (AOR).
During the troop address, Major General Darshana Wijesekara took time off to underline the need for continuous training in order to successfully tackle the non-traditional threats and challenges. Furthermore, he highlighted the importance of exemplary conduct and behaviour of officers and other ranks in support of promoting the image of the Army.
After a while, Commander, SFHQ - MLT planted a sapling inside the camp premises to symbolize his first visit to the 68 Division.
Towards the culmination of the visit, he left his remarks and commended the Division in the Visitors' Book.
