Commander SF (West) Inspects Flood Affected People at IDP Centres

Major General A.H.L.G. Amarapala RWP RSP ndc psc, Commander Security Forces (West), inspected the IDP Centres established for flood-affected civilians at Vidyavardhana Vidyalaya in Wellampitiya, Siddhartha Vidyalaya in Sedawatta, and Gamini Vidyalaya in Kotuvila on 14 October 2024.

During his visit, he assessed the living conditions of 130 families, comprising 581 individuals residing in these centres, including the sanitation facilities, food supplies, and medical services available to the displaced individuals.

Additionally, he inspected the water pumping station at Kalupalama, Kolonnawa, which plays a crucial role in managing the flood situation.

The General Officer Commanding of the 14 Infantry Division, Senior Officers, Officers, Other Ranks, the Divisional Secretary of Kolonnawa, along with other government officials, also participated in the inspection.
