The Commander Security Forces Wanni - (SFHQ-W) Major General W.P.A.D.W Nanayakkara RSP VSV USP ndu paid an official visit to the 3 Sri Lanka Army Medical Corps (3 SLAMC) camp in Nelumkulama on 29 November 2023.
The Commander, Security Forces-Wanni on his arrival at the 3 SLAMC premises was welcomed by the Commanding Officer, Major S.H S Madubhashini.
Later, the commanding officer through a comprehensive presentation briefed the Commander Security Forces regarding the role and tasks, the deployment of medical establishments and medical professionals within the SFHQ-W areas and courses, being conducted by the 3 SLAMC. Further, the Commander, Security Forces-Wanni had a productive discussion regarding health promotion and awareness programmes for the troops.
Then, the Commander Security Forces visited to the construction site of the prefabricated building allocated to the Military Nursing Training School. The Commanding Officer of 2 Engineer Service Regiment also joined the occasion and the Commander, Security Forces gave directions to speed up the construction process.
After a while, he visited accommodation billets of Other Ranks and witnessed their welfare facilities.
At the end of the day' s schedule, the Commanding Officer presented a memento to the Commander SF-W to mark of his visit to the 3 Sri Lanka Army Medical Corps camp. Before his departure from the camp premises he sat for several group photographs with 3 SLAMC troops.
After his visit to the 3 SLAMC, he visited the General Denzil Kobbekaduwa Memorial military ward at Anuradhapura Teaching Hospital. The Commander, Security Forces Wanni shared a few thoughts with resident patients and inspected the facilities in the ward.
Then, the Commander Security Forces also took time off to inspect the ongoing constructions, being carried out by the Sri Lanka Army at the Teaching Hospital premises. The Deputy Director of the Teaching Hospital Anuradhapura also joined the visiting Wanni Commander.

The Commander, Security Forces on his arrival at the 3 SLAC premises was welcomed by the commanding officer, Lieutenant Colonel N.V.A.M Vithanage RSP psc.
Afterwards, the Commanding officers of 3 SLAC conducted a comprehensive briefing and presented an overview of the role and tasks of the 3 SLAC. He also had a look at the Warrant Officers' and Sergeants' under construction and the billets of Other Ranks before he had a look at the Armoured Tank yards.
Before his departure, the Commander SFHQ -W penned down a few complimentary lines in their visitors' book. The Commanding Officer of the 3 SLAC Regiment presented a memento to the Wanni Commander before the agenda came to a close.
