Commander SF - KLN Visits 66 Division Headquarters & FMA

The newly-appointed Commander Security Forces - Kilinochchi (SF-KLN) made a formal visit to the 66 Division Headquarters in Pooneryn on Thursday (19).

During his visit, Major General Ajith Kariyakarawana, Commander, Security Forces - Kilinochchi was greeted to a Guard Turnout, presented in accordance with military formalities at the entrance to the 66 Division Headquarters.

Before addressing the troops in the 66 Division, the visiting Kilinochchi Commander planted a sapling at the Headquarters premises. Then, he joined an all rank tea party and also listened to a briefing, presented by the General Officer Commanding 66 Division and shared a couple of views with the officers before he visited the Arasapuram Training School.

General Officer Commanding, 66 Division Headquarters afterwards presented a memento to the new Commander, SF-KLN.

Brigadier Duminda Keppetiwalana, General Officer Commanding, 66 Division, Brigade Commanders Commanding Offices, Officers and other ranks serving in the 66 Division attended the day's event.

Meanwhile, Major General Ajith Kariyakarawana formal visit to the Forward Maintenance Area - Kilinochchi (FMA –KLN) on Friday (20).

During his visit, he was greeted to a Guard Turnout, presented in accordance with military formalities at the entrance to FMA – KLN.

The visiting Commander was warmly welcomed by the Commander FMA –KLN and briefed him on the administrative aspects and welfare measures of the troops.

Then, the Commander SF-KLN addressed the troops and planted a sapling in the FMA –KLN premises as a symbol of his visit to the place.

Commanding Officers, officers and other ranks in the FMA –KLN attended the day’s event.
