Commander, SF-J Meets Governor, Northern Province

The Commander, Security Forces - Jaffna (SF - J), Major General M.G.W.W.W.M.C.B Wickramasinghe RWP RSP ndu psc, met with the Honorable Governor for the Northern Province, Mrs. P.S.M Charles, on 19 February 2024 at the Governor’s Secretariat.

During the meeting, the Commander, SF - J briefed the Governor on the security and humanitarian activities persisting in Jaffna and Kilinochchi. The Governor expressed her concern about developing skills of women-led families, assisting them financially to uplift their wellbeing. Furthermore, during the discussion, both parties discussed matters pertaining to welfare, the wellbeing of civilians and civil-military cooperation in the peninsula.

Brigadier General Staff, Brigadier K.J.N.M.P.K Nawarathne RWP RSP ndu, Brigade Commander, 512 Infantry Brigade, Brigadier M.P.S.P Kulasekara WWV RWP RSP and a few other Senior Officers were also present at the official meeting.
