Commander SF-East Inspects Ongoing Graduate Orientation Project & FMA-East

The Commander, Security Forces - East, Major General Chainthaka Gamage made a formal visit to the Forward Maintenance Area (FMA) HQ -East on Friday (18). The Commander FMA - East, Brigadier Athula Ariyarathne welcomed the Security Force Commander on arrival and had a lengthy discussion with regard to the logistic supplies and services in the Eastern theatre.

Special attention was focused on matters, related to ongoing Quarantine Centers, their operations and ongoing construction projects of the Corps of Engineer Services and vehicle maintenance / repairs at the Sri Lanka Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (SLEME). Commanding Officers of 3 Corps of Engineer Services (CES), 4 Sri Lanka Army Service Corps (SLASC), 5 Sri Lanka Army Medical Corps (SLAMC), 3 Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps (SLAOC), 3 SLEME, 2 Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police (SLCMP) and 6 (V) Sri Lanka Army General Service Corps (SLAGSC) participated in the discussions.

After the discussions, the Commander, Security Forces visited the School of Artillery at Minneriya, Infantry Training Centre - Minneriya and the School of Military Police, Giritale where 'Leadership, Motivation and Team Building' orientation project of the Army was on. He also had a brief interactive conversation with the graduates highlighting the value of leadership training. Further, the Commander inspected the facilities provided for those graduates while exchanging thoughts with Senior Instructors and members of the military staff on duty.
