Commander Security Forces (West) Visited 143 Infantry Brigade

Major General S.W.M Fernando WWV RWP RSP VSV USP ndc psc, the Commander of Security Forces (West) visited the 143 Infantry Brigade on 24 July 2024.

The visiting Commander was honoured in a drive pass at the Brigade Headquarters. Brigadier K.A.D.T.P Wimalasena RWP RSP, the Commander of the 143 Infantry Brigade, warmly welcomed the Commander of Security Forces (West).

Senior Officers briefed on roles, tasks, and the present situation of the respective area to the Commander. Then, the Commander Security Forces (West) planted a sapling in the camp premises to mark his visit.

Addressing the troops, the Commander Security Forces (West) emphasised the importance of discipline among soldiers. Subsequently, dry ration packs donation programme was held for civilian staff. At the culmination of the event, the Commander Security Forces (West) signed the visitors' book to mark his visit.
