Major General J.P.C Peiris RWP RSP ndc, Commander, Security Forces (Wanni), visited the 9 Gajaba Regiment and 5 (V) Gajaba Regiment on 30 November 2024. The visit focused on assessing operational readiness, administrative matters in the Battalions.
Upon arrival, the Commander was accorded a Drive pass and warmly welcomed by the respective Commanding Officers at each location. Afterwards, Senior Officers briefed on the responsibilities, roles, tasks, and current commitments of each Battalion. Later on, the visiting Senior Officer addressed the Officers and Senior Non-Commissioned Officers.
The visit concluded with the Commander recording complimentary remarks in the visitors’ book, marking the end of the day’s proceedings. Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks participated in the visit.
